“Climbing Kilimanjaro is more than just a physical challenge. It mirrors the mountains we all face in life—whether you’re climbing to reach new heights in your career, starting a business, or improving your community. Each step takes perseverance, teamwork, and a belief that you can reach the summit. Just like Kilimanjaro, building a future where opportunity is available to all requires dedication and the right support.”
We all have our own mountains to climb. Whether it’s in our personal or professional lives, these challenges often feel insurmountable.
At Accelerate Change, we believe that climbing Mount Kilimanjaro serves as a powerful metaphor for the journey of leadership, entrepreneurship, and social impact. Like each stage of the climb, building a business or driving change requires preparation, determination, and resilience. But with the right support and resources, we can help people reach the summit of their potential, driving positive change along the way.
Join us as we embark on a journey that isn’t just about reaching the top—it’s about the lives and communities transformed along the way.
As we prepare to summit Kilimanjaro, we recognize the importance of leaving a lasting impact beyond our climb. While the mountain itself is a challenge, our focus is on what happens after the climb—on how we can work with local schools and communities in Tanzania to provide skills in entrepreneurship and leadership. These skills will allow students to grow their own ideas and drive social impact within their communities. This isn’t about imposing our solutions but creating opportunities for them to lead, innovate, and inspire within their own context.
Our partnership with Tanzanian schools will help nurture a generation of problem solvers, empowering them with the tools they need to thrive, long after our journey ends.
Embark on an unforgettable 8-day journey up the Lemosho Route of Mount Kilimanjaro—the tallest freestanding mountain in the world. But this isn’t just a climb; it’s an immersive experience designed to challenge you physically, inspire you mentally, and elevate your purpose.
Beyond the physical challenge, our Kilimanjaro experience stands out because we focus on making the journey deeply transformative. Throughout the climb, you’ll engage in curated conversations and reflective moments that will challenge you mentally, unlocking new levels of personal growth and breakthroughs. Our team will guide discussions around entrepreneurship, leadership, and social change—ensuring that you not only conquer the mountain but also leave with a renewed sense of purpose.
Our 8-day Lemosho route is renowned for its scenic beauty and gradual ascent, offering the best chance for success.
Over eight days, you’ll experience everything from lush rainforests to the stark, alien landscapes of the summit. The route passes through diverse habitats—rainforests, moorlands, and alpine deserts—all the way to the snow-covered Uhuru Peak at 19,341 feet.
Day 1-2: Begin your journey through the serene Lemosho forest, hiking toward the Shira Plateau, one of the world’s highest plateaus.
Day 3-4: Trek across volcanic landscapes and visit the dramatic Lava Tower, perfect for acclimatization, before heading down to Barranco Camp.
Day 5-6: Conquer the Great Barranco Wall and make your final ascent to Barafu Camp, resting before the summit push.
Day 7: Start at midnight for the most challenging but rewarding part of the journey: reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
Day 8: Descend through the rainforest back to Mweka Gate, completing your adventure.
